"Let the bond of Food be rather a moving sea between the shores of your souls.
fill each other's cup but drink not from one cup.
give one another of your bread but eat not from the same loaf
sing and dance together and be joyous, but let each one of you be alone,
even as the strings of a lute are alone though they quiver with the same music.”
― Gibran Khalil Gibran, Prophet Hb

This saying brings back memories of our previous Food Walk done in Indiranagar, in March this year. A motley crew of 6 Teams, each team varying from each other, but yet celebrating their love of food and togetherness on the walk. The noisiest team, Called Themselves Red Velvet, consisting of a family of seven, whom were a bunch of cousins with their nephew and niece from London, created quite a stir at the mocktail making task. One of them finally even convinced our ace bartender to spike her drink in the end (-:
Team Omnivorous Orange, a bunch of enthusiastic architects from Mumbai lost their way but not before wiping out the salad they made in the salad task, and of course added glamour to the streets of Indiranagar, Bangalore by posing on the roads whilst finding the different restaurants on their walk.
The girls of Team Aubergine were in the highest of competitive spirits all the way and came out second for their wholesome efforts. Team Mustard Custard a unusual combo of a professional photographer, a mother & daughter with a Doctor & her hubby were the live wires in the walk.
Winners of the walk, Team Thai Green Curry, had a husband & wife duo, bunch of close friends and a Foodie in it, walked away with the beautiful tailor made Food Hampers. In All Good Foodie Spirit, tasting cupcakes, Chai, shopping for groceries to make a salad judged by a Master chef, signature cocktails along the way, all teams rounded it off with a wholesome Parsi meal as the finale to a fitting eventful fun Sunday afternoon in March!
So Come On & Be part of the Second Edition of our Food Walk, this time in and around Church Street, on Sunday, 11th May from 11am to 2pm...More details on our FB pg, and tickets available on bookmyshow. Be There Or Be Square!!!
